SCPD ENROLMENT

Face to face classes are BACK! With COVID-19 procedures in place.

To become a member of SC Physie and Dance, please fill out the appropriate online form below. This will give the opportunity to select the

classes you are attending, as well as provide the club with important student information.

The timetables below are subject to change, depending on enrollments. All students is encouraged to attend two lessons a week (except

Dance-able which is currently only one class per week).

2020 APDA REGISTRATION

Our SCPD enrollment form information will also be used for your APDA registration. Once your APDA registration fee is paid, we will send on the information to APDA and complete your registration.

2020 APDA registration fees -

 - Tiny Tots  - $45.00

 - Petites, Juniors, Seniors and Ladies  - $85.00

SCPD 2020 TERM FEES

Due to COVID-19 and no face to face classes our fees have now been reduced to reflect how many face to face classes we have left for the year and this amount has been split into 2 payments.

 

As such payments are as follows -

Payment 1: due 13 July 2020

Petites - $102.00

Juniors, Seniors and Ladies  - $112.50

Payment 2: due 24 August 2020

Petites - $102.00

Juniors, Seniors and Ladies - $112.50

You can also use your 2 Active kids and your Creative kid voucher towards these payments.

 

​If at any time you are having trouble paying your Term fees, please contact our Treasurer - Sue Amadio and she will happily set you up with a payment plan.

Dance-ABLE | Dance with no limits

              

A program for students with ASD, or an intellectual disability

                      

Shellharbour City Physie and Dance is a community-club committed to creating a culture that is inclusive and accepting of all people. 

The Dance-ABLE program is designed to teach people with specialised needs the foundations of dance, including correct technique, musicality and performance, in a fun and nurturing environment. The syllabus is designed to teach students a variety of dance styles, and includes routines that develop strength, flexibility and expression. 

The program is also aimed at improving the health, wellbeing and confidence of students.

Class information:

  • Classes are held at our studio 4/150 Industrial Road Oak Flats

  • Tuesdays - 3.30pm until 4.15pm

  • Our teacher is an experienced care worker of children and adults that have specialised needs. Jayne is dedicated to supporting the individual goals of each student. A teaching support assistant will also support the class in the early stages of the term

  • A small group class, capped at six students

  • The class will follow the same structure each week

  • Parents/guardians and families will be encouraged to become a part of the club community

Shellharbour City Physie and Dance offers performance opportunities throughout the year, including an end-of year Showcase, where students can choose to perform if they wish.

If the needs of a student are more specialised, we can work with the family and carer to provide tuition under a private lesson structure, if appropriate, and with the guidance and support of the carer*.

 

*Appropriate clearance from medical and health professionals would need to be provided by the student’s family/carer prior to enrolment.

APDA TINY TOTS - 2 to 4 years

At Shellharbour City Physie and Dance we understand preschoolers have different needs and learn in different ways. APDA has developed a dedicated preschool program for these Tiny Tots.

Through music and dance, our preschool program teaches and improves gross motor skills, which are vital to your child's development. They learn the basic fundamentals of a variety of dance styles including ballet, jazz and physie. Our program also improves school readiness.

Parents are welcome to be involved in the class with their little one. You don't need any special shoes or equipment, and you will find classes affordable. 


 

Tiny Tots Fee Schedule

Fees include - 2 classes per week, syllabus DVD, music CD,  fees and showcase costume fee.

SCPD Petite's - 4 to 5 years 

This class is designed for girls that are ready to perform and to extend technique and concentration. This class will focus on the 5 years syllabus, in a smaller class.

The APDA syllabus is design to develop:  Fitness, flexibility, co-ordination and rhythm, musicality, core strength and posture, correct and safe dance technique, self-esteem and self-discipline.

SCPD Petite's Fee Schedule

Fees include - 2 classes per week, syllabus DVD, music CD, Teams and Zone competition fees and showcase costume fee. Interclub fees are extra.

 JUNIORS 5 to 12 years PHYSIE AND DANCE

The APDA syllabus is designed by top choreographers, and new routines are provided each year.

The syllabus progresses through a number of stages suitable to age and development.

 

The APDA syllabus is design to develop:  Fitness, flexibility, co-ordination and rhythm, musicality, core strength and posture, correct and safe dance technique, self-esteem and self-discipline.

Junior Fee Schedule

Fees include - 2 classes per week, syllabus DVD, music CD, Teams and Zone competition fees and showcase costume fee. Interclub fees are extra.

13 - 15 years, 16+, Intermediate & Elite Seniors PHYSIE AND DANCE

The APDA syllabus is designed by top choreographers, and new routines are provided each year.

APDA dance syllabus has been developed to ensure that correctness of movement is a prime objective. The syllabus progresses through a number of stages suitable to age and development for these teenage years.

 

The APDA syllabus is designed to develop:  Fitness, flexibility, co-ordination and rhythm, musicality, core strength and posture, correct and safe dance technique, self-esteem and self-discipline.

13 - 15 years, 16+, Intermediate and Elite Seniors Fee Schedule

Fees include - 2 classes per week, syllabus DVD, music CD, Teams and Zone competition fees and showcase costume fee. Interclub fees are extra.

LADIES PHYSIE AND DANCE

The APDA syllabus is designed by top choreographers, and new routines are provided each year.

The syllabus provides different levels of difficulty suitable to a ladies age and section in a relaxed and fun environment. During the Ladies classes you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team and on individual performance. 

 

The APDA syllabus is design to develop:  Fitness, flexibility, co-ordination and rhythm, musicality, core strength and posture, correct and safe dance technique, self-esteem and self-discipline.

Ladies Fee Schedule

Fees include - 2 classes per week, syllabus DVD, music CD, Teams and Zone competition fees and showcase costume fee. Interclub fees are extra.

SENIOR BALLET

Senior Ballet is aimed at 16yrs+ age groups and is available for non physie students and physie students of SCPD.

This is a great class to learn and practice correct ballet technique, in a fun and educational environment.

Senior Ballet is run by well known Ballet teacher Mrs Garvie.

Term 1 is an 8 week term - Thursday 20 February  - Thursday 9 April

Senior Ballet Fee Schedule

The SCPD registration is only applicable to non- Physie students, This is to make sure that you are covered by our insurance.

Term fees include - 1 lesson per week.

All ballet fees can be paid via our SCPD Shop.
